ScentWe can not guarantee a scent-free environment.
Our hand soap is unscented.
Please do not use any scented products on yourself or on our furniture while visiting the clinic.
No Smoking or vaping indoors, or within 10 feet of our front door.
EatingExcept in the case of medical need, we prefer for you not to eat in the clinic. The sound and scent can be distracting to others.
Drinking
You are welcome to bring closed container of non-alcoholic beverages.
COVID - 19 (ongoing)
We follow NYS guidelines for pandemic procedures on Covid-19 - Masks are not required by current state guidelines but are strongly encouraged.
Please wear a mask if you have a cough, are sneezing, or are not feeling well.
Please stay at home if you have tested positive with Covid-19 within 2 weeks.
We cannot treat you if...
You have had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above.
You have had any NEW respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, acute diarrhea, or shortness of breath.
You have knowingly been in contact with anyone in the last 10 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms.
Animals
Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed at the clinic. Service animals should be identified as such with visible insignia.
We do not treat animals.
Languages
We speak English, but can treat anyone who speaks any language. In the circumstances that verbal communication is limited, we use GoogleTranslate, charts, and gestures to identify the location and severity of the patient's condition.
Patients are welcome to bring an interpreter.
Multitasking
Our goal is the create a low-stimulus environment that is an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, so that you have space to heal.
For that reason, we do not allow laptops. If you must use your cellphone , you are welcome to (on silent), but we encourage you to try "unplugging" from screens for a while and see what happens!
Clinic Hygiene
- CGCA follows state and national guidelines on health, safety, and cleanliness including and according to Clean Needle Technique, NCCAOM, OSHA, NY DOB, and NY DOH.
-We use industrial high grade HEPA air purifiers
-Chair covers and blankets are laundered regularly and replaced daily, as needed
-Our check-in station iPad screen is cleaned with antibacterial solution 2x daily
-All needles are brand new, sterile, and properly disposed of.
-Any tools (cups, etc) used in the clinic are meticulously sanitized between patient uses.

Children
Acupuncture is often very effective for children and teens, and many of them love it. We ask only that the child in question is willing to try acupuncture; we don’t want to treat unwilling patients of any age.
We are not able to supervise children who are not being treated.
